Cuba Libre by Rosa Clandestino

What are the characteristics that must have an outfit not to be boring?

Simplicity. Originality. History. Art.

The collections of Rosa Clandestino always contain these elements. Especially the story, told in the tissues, and color guidelines. And finally in the presentation.

The atmosphere tells a story, in which we do not find clothes. We find a woman who tell where she comes from and where she is going. Everything is bathed in an aura timeless, rather vintage...
Rosa Clandestino S/S 2012

The designer Cuban roots emerge clearly, giving room for a classically modern style of play warm colors, from sand to tobacco.
Easy work of style.

Translations

The magic of photography is endless.
Today we talk about Sofie Knijff and his plan Translations.

This young photographer from Amsterdam travels the world portraying children. Children of South Africa, India and Mali. Photographing them free from the surrounding world, the act of imagining as an adultIt portrays their aspirations, well isolated from the environment in which they live. When innocence can still dream and be what we hear more.

It breathes freedom and bitterness.
Freedom is beauty in the innocence and illusion.
Bitterness ... because it is impossible not to wonder where else to go the dreams of these children.

Theater in a shoe

Can a material object, simple and straightforward, transmit that sense of drama typical of the creative world immaterial?
Probably yes.

An object, a shape, a color mixed with wisdom and insight.
A shoe.
A frame, Venice, Hotel Danieli, creates an eleganttimeless elegance, immortal and immutable.

The shoe hit, catching the attention from overview to detail.

The choice of the particular creates the force of these photographs.
Not only visions of fashion.
But the expression of an idea of style and the idea that a small detail, a color, a skin, a strap, a heel, can make palpable the expressive force of character.

More black and more white

Luce e purezza. Pace e celebrazione.

Black. The absence of colorThe visual impression that is experienced when no visible light reaches the eye. The absence of light by the absence of any reflectionThe absence of any reflection of the sum of more pigmentsThe sadness of the soulthe afterlifethe ambiguityBut also the light and the starsThe clouds and rainThe prosperity and life.

I was there

Io appoggio i romantici sognatori.
Premio per la creatività al Generale Blazer.

There are two different theories that tell the origin of the blazer.

The first, suitable for romantic dreamers, says that in mid-1800 the British General H.M.S. Blazer got tired of the way that dress
his crew and ordered  to sew a jacket in blue and white stripes, which were applied to the buttons with the crest of the Royal Navy.
The jacket was very pleased to Queen Victoria and thus became the uniform of every crew.

The second theory, suitable for
pragmatic fashionistas , refers to the etymological derivation from the verb to blaze, because the jacket was originally made with bright fabrics.

I support the romantic dreamers.
Prize for creativity to General Blazer.
